Wife not very happy the colour ran in the wash and completely ruined her cloths and also one of my other TShirts. To be honest this is the first time this has happened but not good.
"Microthread technology" .. it's just 100% polyester. It doesn't "wick sweat" and it doesn't do anything different to anything else made from a synthetic fibre that costs basically zero to produce. It made me sweat profusely during my workout, it's just more expensive because it has UA on the chest. Save your money, you won't run any faster in it..
I bought this new shirt, because of the new material, I always buy the UA Tech T-Shirt, which has always fit just perfect, unfortunately the fit, material and color of this T-Shirt it's all wrong I have wore it about 3 times and every time I regret it, is too tight at shoulder level and also at waist level, I do crossfit and either you wear a loose fit or compression fit of which I am not a fan. These shirts fray very easily, after one workout I put them in the washer and the next time I was playing lacrosse I noticed tons of fraying. I have not had problems like this with any other UA product but if this is what their new quality looks like I am not very happy. I have used UA since early 2009. In fact it UA underwear was so good that I exclusively use it now. I will keep on buying their underwear... I wish I could say the same for the Streaker run short sleeve shirt. I don't leave this 1 star review lightly.
I purchased this shirt to see how it compares to the threadborne siro and I was very disappointed. The fit is quite a bit smaller so make sure you size up.
The title says it all. The fabric on the shirt is so thin that you can see right through it. I guess this could be a good thing if you want to show off tattoos or are particularly proud of your nipples. However, for me, this kind of defeats the purpose of wearing a shirt in the first place. Since there isn't a rating for transparency, I reflected that in the comfort rating above. Although there is nothing wrong with the physical comfort, I would not feel comfortable wearing this shirt out in public.
I ordered a small and the fit was a bit loose on me. I'm 5'11'' 145 lbs and was expecting a closer fit; not compression tight but just... closer. For me, the fit would be like ordering a size up at J. Crew, Gap, etc.
If you have a muscular build, this might not be an issue. Despite the fit, I might have been willing to hold on to these as lounge shirts; however, I don't really see the point in wearing a transparent shirt. If I'm going to go that route, I'd rather not wear a shirt at all.
I've had many different UA running shirts in the past and usually never have an issue with any of them. I picked two of these up recently because I liked the colors and appreciate the mesh material that made up the back of the shirt to keep me cool during runs. My first initial runs (six or so miles) in both shirts were fine. It wasn't until my weekend long runs in them that I started to notice terrible chafing on my collar bones. About 10 miles into my runs I would feel the burning along my collar bones with no respite from the feeling until I got home and changed out of them. The chafing led to my skin being rubbed off and now I am left with scabbing on both collar bones.
Was looking for a good undershirt to wear on a daily basis with a solid constructed collar that could hold up over many washes. I bought 2 of these. Comfort wise they are okay and seem to be fitted correctly. But after 1 wash the neck/collar material was pilled and you could see it along the entire outline of the collar. So it looked like I had washed this thing 50 times the way it was pilled out already. I was disappointed in that and don't feel comfortable wearing and exposing the collar at all which is contrary to why I purchased these things.
Tee is good fitting, loose and/or tight where should be and opposite the case as well. I like the more tight fitting collar area vs similiar where the collar is loose and hangs low. This will make a great work out shirt or running shirt when temps warms up.
Nice fit and very light.
When I first put on the fluro green shirt and looked in the mirror I could see my nipples. Won't be wearing it out of the house. Unless you love your nipples, I wouldn't recommend.
